Meats & Mountains returns to Jebel Hafit for another epic desert food festival

On 23rd November and 21st December, UAE foodies are invited to experience a must-try open-air celebration of flavours and culture!

The highly anticipated Meats & Mountains food festival is back and bigger than ever, offering food enthusiasts an extraordinary culinary journey set against the majestic landscape of Jebel Hafit Desert Park. Hosted by Jebel Hafit Desert Park and curated by Cucina del Sul, the Middle East’s leading platform for curated food experiences, this open-air feast will take place exclusively on the 23rd November and 21st December.

Designed for those who crave not only exceptional flavours but truly immersive dining adventures. This year’s Meats & Mountains will be an unforgettable must-try ticketed experience, packed with an exclusive line-up of activities, ideal for those looking to enjoy the UAE’s famed alfresco season. With tickets priced at AED 378 per person for adults and AED 94 for children 5 to 12 years old, festival-goers can enjoy unlimited BBQ feasts, cooked by a talented slew of local cooks with delicious meats supplied by Meat House Gourmet Butcher.

Back by popular demand are last year’s crowd-favourite F&B stations! Enjoy mouth-watering Texas Smokehouse-style brisket and wings, courtesy of BBQ Sultan, while sipping on Qure Drinks’ refreshing mocktails and non-alcoholic beverages. Guests can also indulge in authentic Mexican street food by Panamericana, and Omar Odali’s famous Nabulsi Knafeh – known as the best in Dubai and the first to be cooked over coals outdoors. This must-try dessert is a delight for all with a sweet tooth! The experience is further enriched by a variety of additional F&B concepts, curated especially for the third edition of Meats & Mountains Camp.

Adding a rich cultural touch to this bucket-list experience, Meats & Mountains showcases authentic Emirati hospitality, featuring guided art and archaeology hikes, Gahwa (traditional Arabic coffee) stations, live falconry demonstrations, and the chance to sample fire-cooked Harees. Guests can also savour Emirati favourites like Lugaimat and Karak tea, and witness traditional bread-making in action. If that doesn’t entice you, the experience includes complimentary access to a lively camp with a variety of recreational activities, including kite flying, bonfires, live entertainment, and exclusive vouchers to Al Ain Zoo – and so much more!

For those looking to make their visit longer than a day trip, Meats & Mountains ticket holders can book overnight stays at Jebel Hafit Desert Park’s various camping and glamping options, or take advantage of exclusive rates at select Al Ain partner hotels.

Curated by Cucina del Sul, this signature event seamlessly blends the art of open-fire cooking with the spirit of adventure. Known for transforming dining into a cultural community experience, Cucina del Sul’s events resonate with food lovers who are as passionate about ambiance as they are about flavours.

“Meats & Mountains is more than a festival—it’s a celebration of food, culture, and community,” says Ola, one of the co-founders of Cucina del Sul. “We invite food enthusiasts to escape the bustle of city life and embrace the beauty of the desert living while connecting with kindred spirits over incredible flavours.”
