Cameo Rebrands to Cameo Performance, Signalling a New Era of Accountable, Lead Focused Public Relations

The rebrand reflects the Dubai-based PR agency’s evolution into a tech-enabled performance-driven partner for businesses, built on artificial intelligence visibility, a pay-for-results model, and proprietary tools for PR measurement.

Cameo Communications, a Dubai-based public relations agency, today announced it has rebranded as Cameo Performance. Six years after its founding, the agency is formalizing a shift it has been building toward since 2025 that PR should be measured by outcomes, not ideas.

Cameo Performance is a tech-enabled PR agency with a deep focus on integrating technology into PR to drive results for brands across industries, including SAAS, technology, F&B, real estate, healthcare, and fintech across the UAE. It’s best known for two things: a pay-on-results model, where clients pay only for earned coverage secured rather than a flat monthly retainer, and CoverageIQ, its proprietary platform for tracking what coverage actually does after it publishes through metrics such as real readership, referral traffic, and whether it surfaces in AI search tools like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews.

The rebrand also introduces a new visual identity, moving from the agency’s earlier, lighter palette to a darker, more confident aesthetic. The shift signals a deliberate repositioning, away from a traditional communications agency and toward a data-backed, results-driven growth partner built for businesses.

“Cameo Communications was the right name for who we were when we started. Cameo Performance is the right name for who we are now,” said Lara Geadah, Founder of Cameo Performance. “We stopped being a PR agency that talks about impact and became one that proves it. The name needed to catch up to the work.”

For most of its history, the public relations industry has sold on adjectives, impressions, visibility, credibility, with little to back those claims beyond a press clippings deck and a circulation-based estimate that few clients fully trust. Cameo was built inside that industry, and for its early years, operated inside its norms too. The rebrand is the agency’s clearest statement yet that it intends to compete on a different basis entirely.

Artificial Intelligence Visibility at the Core of Every Strategy

Cameo Performance has long positioned itself as outcomes-focused, but the agency says artificial intelligence has changed what that focus now looks like in practice. Recent research shows that 94% of B2B buyers now use AI tools during their purchase process, with AI answer engines outranking websites, sales reps, and product experts as the top vendor research source. That shift is exactly why Cameo now builds artificial intelligence visibility into every strategy it presents to clients from the outset, rather than treating it as an optional add-on. Campaigns are planned with discoverability across AI-powered search and answer platforms in mind from day one, supported by measurement tools the agency has developed in-house to track conversions generated by its campaigns, giving clients a clearer read on how specific activity, not just individual placements, translates into business results.

New Services Built for How Businesses Actually Grow

Alongside the rebrand, Cameo Performance is introducing a set of services the agency says are not widely offered elsewhere in the region’s public relations market. These include business-to-business LinkedIn campaigns designed to build visibility for founders and executives with the audiences that matter most to them, conversion-focused influencer partnerships that extend beyond consumer-facing collaborations to engage founders and industry voices directly, and services built to generate demo bookings or leads, connecting media and content activity to a measurable pipeline outcome. The agency’s event and activation work has also grown beyond traditional media and consumer-facing influencer campaigns to include investor meetups, stakeholder events, and product promotion activations built around a specific audience targeting founders, investors, and other stakeholders who influence a company’s growth, rather than a general consumer base.

A Pay-for-Results Foundation

Cameo’s Performance PR efforts began in 2025 when it first went live with its pay-for-results model, where clients only pay for earned coverage secured. It’s a simple model, where clients receive free preliminary copy and strategy support to get the ball rolling, and once media distribution starts, Cameo only bills for coverage secured. It’s designed for tech-enabled businesses that value results and efficiency. The model focuses on earned media rather than paid media, which means Cameo secures pitches based on merit.

The Launch of Coverage IQ

What followed was the beta launch of CoverageIQ, Cameo’s proprietary platform that tracks what a piece of coverage actually does after it publishes: real readership on the article itself, referral traffic driven to a client’s website, and whether that coverage is being surfaced in AI-powered search tools such as Perplexity, ChatGPT, and Google AI Overviews.

“Communications was always about the message going out. Performance is about what happens after it lands,” said Geadah. “Our clients aren’t founders who want a nice write-up to screenshot. They’re operators who want to know if coverage moved a metric they care about, be it signups, investor interest, credibility with the right audience. That’s the business we’re actually in, so that’s the name we’re taking.”

A Track Record Built in Technology

Cameo Performance’s client roster reflects the categories it has built its expertise around: saas products, fintech, healthcare, real estate, deep tech, food and beverage, and consumer technology, sectors where credibility with investors, customers, and increasingly AI-driven discovery tools matters as much as press mentions. The agency’s recent work spans media strategy and performance driven press coverage for growth-stage companies including Keyper, YP Club, Tarjama, Cercli, Deed, Delicrew, Seez, Mezza and CNTXT AI.

What Stays the Same

The rebrand changes the agency’s name and look, not its foundation. Cameo Performance continues to offer the public relations services clients have always relied on, including retainers, social media management, and general event support, alongside the newer, results-driven offerings outlined above.
