Can you tell us more about the stories you have directed, written, and produced that highlight the strength and empowerment of Palestinian women?
My stories are always Human, most of the time with a female protagonist. The stories I wrote or directed about Palestinian women shares how strong and passionate they are, with dreams they will never forget.
In your experience as a storyteller, what challenges have you faced in sharing Palestinian stories with the world?
As a filmmaker in the UAE it’s hard to find Palestinian actors and actresses who will be able to represent the culture and be authentic in their acting.
What specific themes or issues do your stories focus on? How do they contribute to empowering women?
My stories highlight how a beloved strong free woman can be and how they stand in their community.
As a co-founder of MISHKA, how does your organization support women empowerment and amplify Palestinian voices in the media industry?
Our slogan is to share stories that looks like us. We represent arabic women, sharing our culture and traditions with the world through our stories.
