This winter, Bookends, a Dubai-based bookstore and marketplace for pre-loved books, is hosting a Bookish Winter Shopping Festival where visitors can buy gifts for their loved ones. All the items on sale will be related to the hobbies and passions of reading and books. The three-day fair at Bookends, Dubai Digital Park, Silicon Oasis, Dubai, December 8, 9, and 10 (10 am to 10 pm) will be your chance to buy and gift unique, book-themed merchandise. “This Winter Shopping Festival is for all things bookish — books and reading-related items like notebooks, bookmarks, and more,” said Grace Karim and Somia Anwar, owners of Bookends.
Besides books, you can explore the creations of local artisans, authors, and crafters who specialise in book-related products. These include bookmarks, canvases inspired by bookish quotes, envelopes containing tiny notes or stories, stationery items, and more. The special bundles of books created for the festival are another highlight. And yes, each item will be wrapped in Bookends’ typical gifting style — sustainable wrapping using newspapers and festive wrapping too.
