On September 9, 2026, Jasmin Larian Hekmat unveiled Cult Gaia’s Spring 2027 collection at the Gilder Center in New York City, marking the brand’s return to New York Fashion Week. Titled Behesht, the Persian word for heaven, the collection explores the idea of beauty emerging from hardship. Inspired by the designer’s grandmother, Mommy Aghdas, Behesht reflects on grief, resilience, and the possibility of growth after loss.
The collection moves from darker, earthbound tones of charcoal and neutral shades into green, sky blue, red, and ultimately soft pinks, mirroring the movement from mourning toward renewal and a garden in bloom. Behesht brings together delicate, fluid elements with structured, architectural forms, with Chintz Plissé, structured cottons, silk jacquards, rustic knits, airy silks, and hand-painted silk and organza petals creating sculptural, layered blooms.
Accessories continue this tension between softness and strength, combining sculptural wooden heels, metallic crinkle leather, marbled acrylic, hammered metals, antique silver paillettes, and stone details. Across the collection, unyielding materials are transformed into fluid, organic forms – reinforcing the central idea that beauty and life can emerge from even the most difficult places.
