Designed for ease, movement and understated elegance, the FW26 Kaftan Capsule reflects the spirit of Ramadan through fluid silhouettes, Arabic calligraphy, earthy tones and thoughtful craftsmanship

Celebrating grace, modesty and effortless elegance, Gemy Maalouf introduces her Kaftan Capsule FW26 – a collection created for the rhythm of Ramadan and the moments that define it. Available in stores and online from 14 January, the capsule presents refined designs suited to iftar, suhoor, and festive family and social gatherings throughout the holy month.
The FW26 Kaftan Capsule centers on ease of movement and a free-spirited femininity that has long been part of the Gemy Maalouf identity. Silhouettes are relaxed yet considered, designed to drape softly over the body while maintaining an elegant presence. Each piece balances modesty with expression, offering designs that feel demure, graceful and confident.

Comprising 20 designs, the collection offers each style in a range of colours, allowing women to select pieces that feel personal and appropriate for different occasions. The palette draws from earthy, calming tones associated with Ramadan, including tan, butter yellow, taupe, olive, light mint, gold, blush, black and brown – shades chosen to evoke warmth, serenity and quiet celebration. Materials are selected to enhance lightness and fluidity. Crepe, double satin and crepe georgette form the foundation of the collection, paired with embroidery, beading and embellishment details that elevate each piece while preserving its ease and wearability.
For Ramadan 2026, the house set out to go one step further, creating kaftans that carry not only beauty, but a distinct cultural signature. A defining feature of the FW26 Kaftan Capsule is the introduction of Arabic calligraphy embroidery. Built on precision, balance and mastery, the calligraphy reflects the same values that define Gemy Maalouf’s approach to design. The same care placed into shaping a letter is reflected in the construction of each garment, from embroidery and fabric selection to finishing and fit.

The calligraphy woven into the kaftans features carefully chosen phrases that describe the Gemy Maalouf woman. These words are not decorative, but expressive, celebrating her beauty, her freedom, her softness and her confidence. The embroidery adds a cultural signature that feels personal, intentional and deeply connected to Ramadan.
Key highlights include a loose-cut kaftan with three-quarter sleeves, a high collar and embroidered front panel in double satin; a high-neck kaftan with cascading draped sleeves and beaded neckline in taupe crepe; and a draped V-neck kaftan with cape-style sleeves and an embroidered waistband in rich brown satin. Other standout designs feature asymmetrical cowl necklines, layered silhouettes with pleated skirts, and floor-length draped sleeves accented with calligraphic embroidery, all designed to move with ease and elegance.

Founded in Beirut in 1996, Gemy Maalouf is known for bringing couture sensibility into wearable designs through her philosophy of Couture à Porter. The Kaftan Capsule FW26 continues this approach, honouring tradition while presenting a modern, feminine wardrobe designed for comfort, movement and quiet confidence during Ramadan.
The Kaftan Capsule FW26 is available online, in stores and across social channels from 14 January.
