Interview with Dr. Kateryna Lebedyk, MD Specialist Dermatologist | Aesthetic & Regenerative Medicine

1. Can you share how your expertise in dermatology and regenerative medicine contributes to the philosophy of beauty from the inside out? For me, beauty is never superficial—it is a reflection of internal balance and physiological harmony. Before initiating any aesthetic journey, I dedicate time to understanding each patient on a deeper level. This includes reviewing blood tests, discussing chronic conditions, and analyzing supplementation routines. Very often, what presents as dull, fatigued, or uneven skin is a manifestation of underlying deficiencies—such as low vitamin D, iron imbalance, or hormonal disruption. Aesthetic dermatology today cannot exist in isolation. It is a multidisciplinary science. I frequently collaborate with endocrinologists, wellness specialists, and other medical professionals to ensure we are addressing the root causes, not only the visible symptoms. By integrating regenerative medicine into this process, I am able to stimulate the skin’s intrinsic repair mechanisms—creating results that are not only visible, but biologically meaningful and long-lasting.

2. How do you see current beauty trends evolving among women in the UAE, and how do you incorporate these insights into your practice at Este Medical Group? The beauty paradigm in the UAE is undergoing a sophisticated transformation. There is a clear movement toward refined, intelligent aesthetics, where patients no longer seek to look overfilled, but instead desire results that are elegant, balanced, and intrinsically natural. This evolution is closely aligned with my clinical philosophy. My approach is highly personalized and rooted in precision medicine—I design bespoke treatment programs that combine dermatological expertise with advanced regenerative strategies. I’m actively incorporate peptide therapy and stem cell-based approaches, alongside cutting-edge technologies. My protocols often include fibrin matrix applications, meta-cell therapies, and advanced energy-based devices such as epigenetic laser systems, all selected based on the patient’s unique biological profile. What defines modern aesthetics today is not the quantity of interventions, but the quality and intelligence behind them. By targeting cellular regeneration, collagen biostimulation, and epigenetic pathways, we are able to influence the aging process at a deeper level—delivering outcomes that are subtle, sophisticated, and enduring.

3. In your experience, what unique preferences do women in the UAE have regarding aesthetic treatments, and how do you tailor your approach to meet these needs? Women in the UAE are exceptionally well-informed and discerning. They are no longer passive recipients of treatments—they are educated decision-makers who want to understand the science, the ingredients, and the long-term implications of every procedure. This level of awareness has elevated the expectations within the industry. Transparency is no longer optional—it is essential. In my practice, I prioritize detailed consultations where I explain not only the treatment, but also the biological mechanisms behind it. Each protocol is meticulously tailored, respecting the patient’s facial harmony, cultural aesthetics, and preference for refinement and subtlety. The goal is always enhancement without alteration—preserving identity while elevating natural beauty.

4. What role do you believe women empowerment plays in shaping the beauty industry today, especially within the UAE? Women’s empowerment has fundamentally redefined the beauty industry. Today, beauty is no longer about conformity—it is about autonomy, self-expression, and confidence. In the UAE, this is particularly evident. Women are highly driven, globally aware, and deeply invested in their personal and professional growth. Their approach to aesthetics reflects this mindset—they seek intelligent, ethical, and results-driven treatments that align with their lifestyle and values. This shift is pushing the industry toward higher standards, where authenticity, education, and individualized care take precedence over trends.

5. Can you discuss any initiatives or experiences where you’ve supported or inspired women entrepreneurs or professionals in your field? Throughout my career, I have always believed that knowledge should be shared, not limited. Supporting and mentoring other professionals—particularly women in medicine and aesthetics—is an integral part of my journey. Whether through collaboration, clinical guidance, or simply leading by example, I aim to create an environment where women feel empowered to grow, innovate, and lead. In a rapidly evolving field, collective progress is essential, and I see mentorship as a responsibility rather than an option.

6. How has your journey as a successful woman in medicine influenced your perspective on leadership and business within the healthcare sector? My journey has shaped my understanding that true leadership is built on credibility, vision, and consistency. In healthcare, success is not only measured by clinical outcomes, but by trust. Patients place their confidence in us, and it is our responsibility to uphold the highest standards of care, ethics, and transparency. From a business perspective, it is about integrating medical excellence with innovation—continuously evolving while maintaining a strong ethical foundation. This balance is what defines sustainable success in the healthcare sector.

7. What advice would you give to aspiring female professionals looking to excel in both their careers and personal development? Success requires a combination of education, discipline, and resilience. It is essential to continuously invest in knowledge, particularly in a field as dynamic as aesthetic and regenerative medicine. At the same time, personal development—confidence, communication, and emotional intelligence—is equally important. My advice is to remain consistent, stay curious, and never compromise your standards. True success comes from long-term vision and the ability to evolve while staying authentic.

8. How do you balance scientific medical advances with the desire for natural, timeless beauty outcomes for your patients at Este Medical Group? Balancing innovation with natural results is at the core of my practice. While modern medicine offers highly advanced tools, the objective is never transformation—it is refinement. We are moving away from excessive volumization and toward biological rejuvenation. In my protocols, I активно use regenerative approaches such as: • Fibrin matrix (PRF) for delicate and high-risk areas like under the eyes • Collagen stimulators to restore structural integrity and improve skin laxity • Polylactic acid-based treatments for gradual, natural volume restoration These are complemented by peptide therapy, stem cell-based strategies, and advanced energy-based technologies that target deeper dermal and cellular processes. The result is a form of beauty that is timeless—where the patient looks healthier, more radiant, and more confident, without any visible signs of intervention.
