From relaxed breakfasts and leisurely lunches to live-fire cooking and evenings over drinks, L’ETO Restaurant reveals a different side to the L’ETO name

Recently opened at Galleria Mall on Al Maryah Island, Abu Dhabi, L’ETO Restaurant introduces a distinctly different dining experience from the cafés the L’ETO name has long been associated with. Created as a standalone restaurant in its own right, the concept brings together all-day dining, a considered beverage programme, live-fire cooking, design and music, evolving naturally from morning through to evening.
Those arriving in search of familiar L’ETO Café signatures may be in for a surprise. Rather than recreating the café experience, the restaurant has a menu entirely of its own, moving from generous breakfasts and leisurely lunches to plates made for sharing and live-fire cooking after dark. Rooted in the sociable spirit of Mediterranean dining, it is a different side of L’ETO, designed for everything from relaxed mornings to dinners and drinks with friends.
That same relaxed spirit carries through to the interiors, where sunlight filters gently through the windows, filling the space with a warm glow. A calming palette of sage and earthy brown evokes a Mediterranean feel, while sculptural woven forms bring movement and texture throughout. Warm timber, tactile finishes and subtly diffused lighting create an atmosphere that feels intimate yet inviting, with lounge-style seating, plush chairs and lush greenery encouraging guests to linger as the day unfolds.
Breakfast: Slow mornings at L’ETO Restaurant
Mornings at L’ETO Restaurant begin at an easy pace, with a breakfast menu that balances light, fresh plates with comforting sweet and savoury dishes. For something sweeter, guests can choose from the Alphonso Mango Bowl with coconut and cashew cream; Tahini Oat Porridge with macadamias, almonds, peanuts and dates; Ricotta Pancakes topped with white chocolate ganache and raspberry jam; French Toast served with house-made peanut and almond butter and brûlée banana, amongst others.
The savoury selection includes L’ETO Restaurant’s signature Spider Crab Omelette; alongside the Wagyu Sausage and Egg Breakfast Bun; Truffle Brie and Scrambled Eggs on Sourdough Toast, or Wagyu Striploin Steak and Eggs served with shoestring fries.
Offering L’ETO Restaurant’s own take on signature dishes, diners can also savour familiar breakfast favourites such as Avocado on Sourdough Toast, Scrambled Eggs and Shakshuka served with herbed labneh and grilled bread. The menu is accompanied by a wide selection of fresh juices, matcha lattes, teas and coffees, as well as breakfast cocktails for those looking for a slower start to the day.
Lunch: From business lunches to long afternoons
Happening Monday to Friday from 12:00 pm until 3:30 pm, L’ETO Restaurant’s set lunch menu is designed for both informal business meetings and longer afternoons around the table. Priced at AED 97 for a main course only, or AED 147 for a choice of starter and main course, guests can begin with mouthwatering starters such as Wagyu Carpaccio with mustard dressing; Sea Bass Ceviche with kiwi, grapes and apple leche de tigre; or Feta with Spiced Honey. Main courses include Wagyu Striploin Tagliata, Grilled Cauliflower and Mibrasa Salmon, served alongside freshly baked buns with a creamy hummus and pesto spread. Alongside the set lunch menu, the restaurant’s à la carte menu is also available.
For a more indulgent lunch, the menu can be complemented by a selection of premium grapes, beers or sparkling.
Siesta Hour
As lunch eases into the afternoon, L’ETO Restaurant introduces Siesta Hour, a laid-back afternoon ritual inspired by the Balearic Islands and the Spanish philosophy of slowing down, socialising and savouring the moment. Available Monday to Saturday from 3:30pm to 7:30pm, it offers a more sophisticated take on the traditional happy hour, bringing a touch of Spanish island living to Al Maryah Island.
The menu brings together Mediterranean flavours and Spanish-inspired touches across a selection of tapas, accompanied by a dedicated beverage selection, with cocktails including the Talamanca Fizz with hibiscus limoncello, bergamot and prosecco; Soller Garibaldi with guava, calamansi, orange and Campari; and Teranka Garden Tonica with gin, cucumber, basil, yuzu and elderflower. Wines, sparkling and beers are also available, with cocktails starting from AED 40, wines from AED 30 per glass and beers from AED 25.
Dinner: From fire to table
By evening, the restaurant takes on a deeper and more expressive character as live-fire cooking moves to the heart of the experience, where the culinary team expertly use flame, smoke and grill to draw out the natural flavours of fresh produce and premium cuts, creating dishes that feel bold yet balanced. As the evening unfolds, a resident DJ sets the soundtrack, adding to the atmosphere as dinner moves into the night.
Dinner highlights include Smoked Salmon and Stracciatella Flatbread, Tuna Confit Salad, Tuna & Peppers, Salmon Caviar Tartar, Risotto Milanese with Red Tiger Prawns and Burnt Butter, Jéanre’s Burger and more. Diners can also tuck heartier dishes such as Charcoal Grilled Rib Eye, Flamed Lamb Skewers, Roasted Baby Chicken, Grilled Chilean Seabass, alongside an array of delicious sides designed to be shared around the table. Paired with hand-crafted beverages and music, dinner brings together the food, atmosphere and social energy that define L’ETO Restaurant after dark.
From the first coffee of the morning to lunch around the table and dinner over fire-cooked plates and drinks, L’ETO Restaurant has been created as a full restaurant experience with an identity entirely of its own. Familiar name, perhaps – but this is L’ETO as guests have not experienced it before.
