To mark Eid Al Etihad 2025 and celebrate the nation’s Spirit of Union, Flowwow, a UAE-based gifting marketplace, launches a meaningful collaboration that reimagines the Emirati traditions of hospitality, generosity and gift-giving through local artistry.
The project centers around a limited-edition gift set co-created with a UAE-born artist Batool Al Tameemi, available exclusively on the Flowwow website and app. Each set features a hand-crafted Arabic ceramic cup designed by Batool and adorned with her original illustration, paired with a hand-made Banoffee cake jar.
“In the Emirates, hospitality and the gift-giving tradition go beyond custom — they are a way of life that unite people. From serving dates and coffee to sharing sweets and conversations in the majlis, these gestures of generosity reflect the nation’s spirit then and now”, — said Slava Bogdan, CEO and co-founder of Flowwow. “Through this project, we wanted to celebrate that Spirit of Unity and give it a contemporary form. That perfectly aligns with our mission to connect people through meaningful gestures.”
Explaining the design, Batool Al Tameemi shared: “This illustration portrays two hands — one offering and one receiving — embodying the essence of Emirati generosity. The giving hand, adorned with traditional rawaib henna, symbolizes grace, hospitality, and the cultural beauty of sharing. Rooted in our gift-giving traditions, the gesture reflects how acts of kindness and exchange form the heart of connection between people.”
Each piece is a tribute to the Emirati art of giving, reinterpreted for today through local artistry and storytelling. Beyond the spirit of celebration, Flowwow’s initiative also carries a social impact: 15 AED of purchased products from the collection ‘Gifting with purpose’ will be donated to Friends of Cancer Patients (FOCP), honoring charity as a vital part of UAE culture and community.
The Flowwow x Batool Al Tameemi collection is available on the Flowwow app and website from November 25th to December 3rd.
