A new seaside dining experience bringing the bold flavours of Latin America
As the cooler season settles over, Banyan Tree Dubai welcomes a new way to spend an evening by the sea with the opening of Casa Playa. Now open daily from 6:00pm to 10:00pm, the new Latin-inspired restaurant and bar brings together vibrant flavours, beachfront dining and the laid-back energy of an evening overlooking the Arabian Gulf.
Casa Playa is designed around the golden hours, inviting guests to settle in as the sun begins to dip and the beachfront takes on a warm evening glow. The menu celebrates the bold, smoky and zesty flavours of Latin America, from Peruvian-style ceviche and Mexican tacos to Argentine-style grills and Spanish tapas, with every dish made for sharing at an unhurried pace.
Signature dishes include The Pearl, a selection of sea bass ceviche, tuna tartare and oysters with spiced tomatillo relish and lime; Pulpo a la Brasa, charcoal-grilled octopus with smoked potato purée, paprika glaze and charred lemon; and the Casa Playa Grand Catch, a feast of jumbo prawns, Canadian lobster and whole butterflied sea bass. Desserts keep the mood light and indulgent, with Cinnamon Churros with dark chocolate sauce and dulce de leche, Tarta de Santiago, a traditional almond cake with Chantilly cream, and exotic fruits with sorbet.
As the sun sets, the atmosphere shifts into a livelier evening rhythm. From 9 October, Fridays and Saturdays will see a live DJ bringing sophisticated Latin-inspired sounds to the beachfront, while from Sunday to Thursday, curated Latin-inspired music plays from 6:00pm to 9:00pm, creating a more relaxed yet refined soundtrack for evenings spent with family, loved ones or friends.
Together with the sea views, open-air setting and Latin flavours, Casa Playa offers an easy transition from sunset dining into the evening.
